Use compatible apps on Roku

Roku TV and Roku streaming players. Follow these steps on your own device, and check the troubleshooting resources if something doesn't work as expected.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Connect your Roku device to Wi-Fi and check for software updates.
  2. Open the Roku streaming store and look for the official application of your authorized content service.
  3. Install the channel and sign in through its supported method.
  4. If an app is unavailable, consider a separate Google TV device connected through HDMI.
  5. For casting or mirroring, confirm that your Roku model and phone support the same technology; Roku does not provide universal Google Cast reception.
